The Problem
A global engineering software company with over 6,100 employees and operations in more than 100 countries faced major challenges in managing IT procurement across regions. Their legacy process was fragmented—each country relied on different vendors, resulting in inconsistent pricing, uneven support, and a lack of global technology standards.
There was no unified billing entity, no way to apply global rebates, and no visibility into vendor performance. VAT reclamation was difficult in many regions, and import compliance issues delayed deployments. The organization needed a partner capable of standardizing and scaling procurement globally.
The Solution
The partnership began with a clear goal: simplify and centralize procurement.
Advizex, supported by global logistics partner Viadex, implemented a unified model using Pure Storage hardware across multiple countries. Viadex handled customs compliance, door-to-door logistics, VAT optimization, and in-country invoicing, while Advizex managed the relationship and technology alignment.
The result was standardized pricing and scheduled delivery across all participating regions.
The Implementation
Deployments were rolled out country by country. Initial orders covered France, Germany, Greece, and the UK, totaling $1.18 million. Each shipment included Pure Storage hardware and comprehensive logistical support.
The customer’s local teams handled onsite implementation. The equipment arrived pre-cleared and compliant with local regulations, allowing for efficient and predictable deployment.
The next rollout phase includes the Netherlands, India, Japan, and South Korea, with $1.57 million in the pipeline.
The Technology
· Pure Storage
· HPE Servers
· Commvault
· VMware
The customer transitioned from a single-vendor model to a best-in-class stack, selecting platforms based on technical excellence rather than brand loyalty. The scalable rollout proves the model’s global viability.
The Impact
Early benefits include successful VAT reclamation, maximized manufacturer discounts through consolidated purchasing, and reduced vendor overhead. Local invoicing meets regional tax and legal requirements. The solution now features a single support chain and SLA.
Procurement is no longer fragmented—it’s a repeatable, streamlined system. As new locations go live, the same process is easily replicated.
The Conclusion
This global enterprise didn’t just need another hardware vendor—it needed a comprehensive procurement strategy built for scale and control.
Advizex and Viadex delivered. Together, they replaced a patchwork of localized contracts with a single, global framework. With four countries deployed and four more underway, the model is proving its value and preparing for continued global expansion.
